Framing Your Canvas Print
So you've purchased a new canvas print and you may be wondering "How do I frame my picture?". Well, it's easier than you may think! Here we show you step-by-step how to frame your own canvas paintings using a standard wooden stretcher canvas picture frame ..
Step 1
Put the stretcher bars together - make sure they are at a right angle to each other.
Step 2
Lay the canvas on a flat surface and measure 5 cm around the perimeter
Step 3
Face down the frame, make sure it is in the center of the canvas.
Step 4
Pull 5 cm up from the bottom and put a staple firmly in the center.
Step 5
Turn to the opposite side and pull up a 5 cm border. Make sure it is tight enough and put in a staple
Step 6
Repeat the process for the left and right sides. Just make sure that you stretch the canvas firm before stapling.
Step 7
Go to the first side and put in a staple to the left and right about 2 inches apart. Repeat process on all sides
Step 8
Now we can work on the corners. Fold the canvas over one corner tightly and neatly as shown
Step 9
Staple down firmly as shown, about 2 cm from edge of the frame.
Step 10
Fold the canvas neatly over the other side of corner as shown
Step 11
Pull the canvas firm and tight under the corner, keeping the fold neat and and tight and without creases.
Step 12
Staple down firmly and repeat the same process on each of the 3 other corners.
